Terms of Service
These terms govern use of TimeCost, an iPhone app for estimating what purchases, recurring costs, assets, investments, and debts mean in work time.
Estimates only
TimeCost provides estimates for personal planning and education. Tax, savings, recurring-cost, portfolio, exchange-rate, work-time, and financial independence calculations depend on the assumptions, valuations, and reference rates you use. Portfolio projections assume the selected annual return and year-end contributions; they are illustrations, not forecasts or guarantees, and do not model actual performance, fees, or taxes. TimeCost is not financial, tax, legal, accounting, investment, or employment advice.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the information you enter, reviewing screenshot-import drafts before saving, the decisions you make from the app, and any files you export or share. On-device extraction or question classification can be incomplete or wrong. Verify important financial, investment, exchange-rate, or tax decisions with qualified professionals and authoritative sources.
Subscriptions
- TimeCost may offer optional auto-renewable Pro annual and monthly subscriptions, plus a non-renewing Pro lifetime purchase.
- Eligible Apple Accounts may see an introductory free trial before an annual or monthly subscription.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account through the App Store.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in App Store account settings.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store policies.
On-device assistance
Screenshot import and Explain controls are convenience tools, not financial advice. Apple Vision, local rules, and supported on-device Foundation Models may be used as described in the Privacy Policy. You must verify imported fields, calculations, and assumptions before relying on them.
Local and private-cloud data
TimeCost stores app data locally on device unless you enable private iCloud sync or choose to export, share, import, or email information. You are responsible for keeping backups of data you want to preserve.
Availability
The app and website may change, pause, or become unavailable. Subscription features depend on App Store purchase status, Apple systems, and the app version installed on your device. Exchange-rate availability depends on the ECB public reference-rate service and network access; saved and manual rates remain available subject to local or private iCloud storage.
